I have been in the healthcare field since 2005. CBRF certified, CPR certified, I have worked with both geriatric and children of all kinds. I was once CNA certified in Wisconsin for over 15 years.

I am a caring and experienced Newborn Care Specialist and Nanny with over 10 years of supporting families in Houston. I’ve worked with newborns, preemies, multiples, and children of all ages, offering help with sleep training, feeding, development, and creating structured, nurturing routines. I’m known for my calm personality, reliability, and ability to adapt to each family’s needs. I also assist with light housekeeping, homework support, and maintaining a safe, positive environment. My goal is to make parents feel supported and ensure every child feels cared for, understood, and comfortable.

My name is Christel Parr. I have three wonderful children, ages 26, 24, & 18years old. My passion has always been working with children since the young age of 12, babysitting for families around the neighborhood. I was a preschool teacher, a live-in nanny, and an on-call nanny with 9 years of professional experience. I then went on to become a mother of my own children. I took time off from working to raise my family and volunteer at my children’s school.I have come back to the workforce and currently work for Nannies of The Woodlands. I work as a on-call nanny for families in need of back up or childcare. I worked for The Children’s Lighthouse Preschool from March 2022-October 2022, as a lead teacher for the 2-3 year old class. I have successfully completed an online certification of Child Growth and Development from infancy- School Age 2022. I will be continuing to add certifications to further my learning. My passion is working alongside families to create a healthy growing learning environment and schedule that best suits the family’s needs. I keep a daily based journal along with photos to keep the parents in touch with the daily happenings and events. I will also incorporate a learning environment along with attending any classes to promote the child’s development. I am currently finishing my certification in Newborn Care Specialist and Infant Sleep Trainer.
