I am currently a nursing student at The University Of Alabama and have been babysitting for 6 years! I absolutely love kids of all ages and love getting to know them and everything about them! I played lacrosse for 13 years, swam for 6 years, and played tennis for 10 years! I am very outgoing, organized, and patient! I have my own car and am willing to take the kids wherever they need to be! I can have families that I babysit for write recommendations for me as well! I love to keep the kids engaged as much as possible whether that be to play outside, or do a craft! Being around kids is something that I truly love, and why I am pursuing nursing! My passion has always been childhood development. I grew up as the youngest of 5 and have been impacted greatly by my siblings' influence, and it has made chaos the norm in my world. As I grew up, I knew I was meant to be a caregiver and have worked in multiple positions to grow these skills. My teaching experience and nanny background have taught me the importance of clear communication with parents, proactive planning, and flexibility. I am a certified teacher in NYS for Early Childhood (Birth-Grade 2), Elementary Education (K-6), and for Students with Disabilities (PK-12). On top of these certifications, I have my Epilepsy, CPR, and First Aid Certifications. I consider my creativity and energy my two greatest strengths. My active lifestyle was built on growing up as a multi-sport athlete, and I have transitioned the energy into creative projects such as painting banners. Although I love creating and starting new projects, spending the day playing outside with the children would be the highlight of the job.
