Hello, my name is Lily, and I am a 21-year-old senior at the University of Iowa. I will be graduating with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 3D Design and plan to relocate to Chicago in the summer of 2026, to the Lincoln Park or Wrigleyville area. While I have a strong academic and creative background in the arts, childcare has always been a meaningful and consistent part of my life. I am seeking a full-time nanny position beginning in summer 2026 and continuing through the school year.
I bring seven years of paid childcare experience, working with children across a wide range of ages and developmental stages. I grew up in a foster-care household, which provided me with early and ongoing exposure to caring for children of varying ages, needs, and backgrounds. I began babysitting for multiple families in high school, where I regularly cared for children between the ages of three and ten. I also provided consistent school pick-up and drop-off for two second-grade children, ensuring safe transportation and reliable daily routines.
During college, I served as a full-time summer nanny for a family with three children, ages five, seven, and eleven, where I supported daily routines, educational activities, and creative play. I additionally worked in a daycare in Iowa City, caring for children from ten months through pre-kindergarten. Most recently, I completed a short-term nanny position caring for two eight-month-old infants, where I also assisted with light cooking and cleaning. I have also completed overnight babysitting and house-sitting responsibilities, which required a high level of trust, responsibility, and organization.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking for friends, spending time outdoors, watching movies, and creating art. I am currently completing my art content area coursework toward teaching certification and value creativity, learning, and child development. I am comfortable assisting with cooking, light cleaning, and household support, and I take pride in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. I value open communication with families and would be grateful for the opportunity to support a household in Chicago.
