Join us as a compassionate babysitter for our elementary-aged child who has special needs. We're looking for someone reliable and experienced in special needs care to provide a safe, supportive environment.
**About the Role:**
This is a casual, as-needed position with flexible scheduling. We occasionally need evening care, and you'll have the freedom to choose when you're available.
**What You'll Do:**
• Provide engaging activities tailored to our child's interests and abilities
• Assist with homework in a patient, supportive manner
• Drive our child to activities and appointments
• Help with bedtime routines
• Support toilet training goals
• Ensure our child's overall well-being and safety
**What We're Looking For:**
• Proven experience working with children who have special needs
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable approach to childcare
• Background check clearance
• Strong communication skills

• Start Date: Flexible, ideally March 13, 2026
• Location: East Chicago, IN
• Pay: $15–$24/hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: Occasional, flexible hours with some evening availability
