I'm a teacher, and after moving abroad, I had the opportunity to be a babysitter in Austria. In Brazil, I worked with a Down Syndrome baby boy, who required even more attention, so I feel well prepared to take care of any new circumstances. I love kids, and besides taking care, I can also supervise their development.

Hi there! My name is Ava Eastman, and I’m a junior at the University of Northwestern studying Psychology. I’ve always had a heart for working with kids and hope to build a career where I can make a real difference in their lives. I have several years of experience with children of all ages! I worked at a daycare for three years as a preschool teacher’s aide, where I also helped care for infants and toddlers. I’ve nannied for the past two summers and absolutely loved getting to know each child and being part of their everyday lives. I also spent a year teaching swim lessons for kids in kindergarten through sixth grade and worked as a lifeguard for two years. I’m CPR and First Aid certified as well. I truly enjoy spending time with kids, whether that’s playing, helping with schoolwork, or finding fun ways to learn and grow together. I’m currently looking for a part-time position that fits with my college schedule and allows me to keep doing what I love most: caring for and connecting with children.

I have many different kinds of childcare experience whether they be paid or volunteer positions. I’m a hard worker and enjoy caring for and working with children and animals, I plan to become a teacher after graduation and currently I’m an education major.
